Yoga on the path of life

Life is for learning. And living. Learning through living. Yoga should help to stimulate our curiosity to learn, and help us with the difficulty of change as a result of this. Through experience, from falling and flying, and burning one’s wings, and learning that life itself is a living symbol of such magnitude that no single philosophy or person or religion can contain it.

Yoga is not something that is contained in the class room, or in a posture only. Yoga itself does not contain all answers to all questions. By doing yoga, however, one opens up to the possibilities of finding one’s way through the world, what we call our life. To unlock the energy, the potential of being present inside all of us is the choice we make. We are free not to be free, or we can work towards our freedom The path that we follow through life reflects our willingness to learn. When I started yoga years ago I never realised where it would lead me to. Not the physical place as such, but to the realisation that only through experiencing the body and mind, by developing awareness of how this fits in with the flow of life itself, can the human organism start its ascend to its potential of energy, of all the good things that we consider the worthwhile results of a ‘good life’. Yoga as a physical form of exercise stimulates the condition of health, of balance of body and mind that helps to nudge us in the right direction. Our path is our choice, how we live our lives is a consciousness decision to be happy. We have the ability to be whatever we want to be. We are free to choose. Yoga helps us to build that freedom.
